Animation Project Brainstorm and Storyboard:

For this animation project I brainstormed a few ideas. At first I was thinking about putting myself into the Guitar Hero game. This game is one my brother and I used to play a lot growing up and the nostalgia of it sounded fun to me. However, I am not going to do this because I felt like it would be kind of boring since the background is pretty stagnant throughout and I want to keep the audience engaged. My second idea was to create a story revolving around a pin-ball machine. I thought it would be fun if I went to an arcade or a bar that had a pinball machine and filmed the first normal minute of me playing the game and have the alternate dimension be me getting sucked into it and becoming the ball. I also decided not to do this because I wasn’t sure about the logistics in terms of finding a pinball machine at a bar and didn’t think it would be worth the risk of getting my fake taken. Finally I decided to land on the idea of making the alternate world a wii sports tennis match. I am going to take my roommate's headshots and put them on the animated characters. We will then play a game of Wii tennis for the animation portion. In terms of the footage surrounding the alternate world I haven’t decided for sure what I want yet. I was thinking it would be cool to open with sort of a morning routine vibe and grab a normal tennis racket and then when I go to look in the mirror have the reflection be a classic wii mii.
